Products

We are able to produce colored filtration media, tackified filtration media, highloft webs, and heavy weight densified webs. We run from about .25 ounces per square foot up to about 12 ounces per square foot in widths up to about 135”.

Spray Bond

Spray bonding uses a PVA binder sprayed on both sides of the web to hold the fibers together. This gives the product a slightly firmer feel and holds the surface fibers down. Spray bonding is also used for filtration media to add the color as well as a tackifier. Spray bonding has been the traditional method used for bonding a highloft web.

Low Melt

Low Melt or thermal bonding incorporates a special low melt fiber as part of the fiber blend. This special low melt fiber melts in the web forming process and sticks to the fibers around it forming a bond which holds the product together. This process allows the product to be 100% polyester while still being durable and resilient..

Densified

A densified web is generally 3 ounces per square foot and heavier and has been compressed in the web forming process to flatten out the web to a specific thickness. For instance a 6 ounce per square foot web that would normally be about 6” thick gets compressed down to 3” to make it a much denser product. Densified polyester is a great alternative to foam. And since polyester is hydrophobic it becomes a great product for outdoor cushions because water will pass through it easier.

Filtration

Filter media utilizes a combination of fiber sizes to allow for proper filtration characteristics. Our filter media is heat sealable, can be supplied in either white, blue or orange, can be blue or orange on one side and white on the other and can be tackified for additional dust holding.
